The Great Way Tai Chi Academy Teacher Training Course is run by Maria King and myself. Our aim is to teach people the great arts of Infinite Tai Chi, Chi Kung and Meditation. This training course enables people to become teachers in their own right. There is a huge awareness of the benefits of Tai Chi in Ireland now and we would like to be at the forefront of training people to teach these arts in their local communities in the Munster area and beyond to the whole of Ireland . Our initial training course started in Brú Columbanus at the end of January 2026. We will run a Foundation course each year and students can progress to a second and third year of training to fully qualify as teachers of Tai Chi,Chi Kung and Meditation. The course is very much a transformation and personal development training course.
The course will continue on to a second and third year where students can on graduation become fully qualified Tai Chi ,Chi Kung and Meditation teachers.
The next intake of students is in January 2027 when we start with the Foundation Year for the incoming students. Students do the training one weekend a month on a Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm (excluding July and August) for each year of the course.
